Italian Red is a hardneck garlic of the Porcelain variety. It averages 4-8 cloves per bulb. Italian Red wrappers are white with lavender and silver skin on the clove. It stores 8-9 months under proper storage conditions.
Flavour: Italian Red has robust, complex flavours with a hint of heat. It is mild even raw and becomes buttery, nutty and sweet when roasted or sautéed.
